On His Way

This child, well… isn’t a child anymore. He’s on his way to college in the fall. We’re so proud of him.

No way! I just bought a plastic bag dispenser from him yesterday, when he was what…11? Now he’s a college boy? Egad. I’m so so so old.

I feel you. He has to pass his GED because he’s just 16 and our local college won’t let you enroll until you’re 18 w/o one. But he’s doing that this month… so, he’s on his way.

He’s so cute and so grown up at the same time! As much as time feels like it has stood painfully still, here is an example of how it has flown by… G – I’m very proud of you. I can’t wait to see what comes next…

Time flies extra-fast when they do everything ahead of schedule. Just a bright (and handsome) young man…!

So true. Fortunately, he’s taking his time on this next step. Giving himself lots of room to grow and learn before heading off to Portland State. It’s one thing to be ahead of the curve at home: quite another to be 16 away at college. It’s a wise decision on his part and I’m relieved. 😀

How exciting! I know you are a very proud mama!

I am. He’s worked very hard to get here… and it’s what he’s wanted since I took him to visit my alma mater when he was 7.
