Mireio Finds: Hideminy
I’m still moving into my new space. . . but thought I’d stop to share this new find with you! I’m adoring the pottery work of Hideminy. Especially the translucency of these paper thin porcelain cups. Wouldn’t they put a dash of “pretty” into your Halloween decor? I think they’d look marvelous paired up with mini white pumpkins across a window ledge.
Mireio Finds: Vintage Quilts on Etsy
I’ve been busy sourcing cutter quilts for more Mireio Dog Beds and along the way have found some absolutely amazing pieces that I’d love for MY bed, forget the dog! Sometimes an owner needs a nice comfy spot to rest too. Let’s get our quilt fix!
I’m completely enchanted with this restored antique crazy quilt. From the vintage fabrics to the pop of black stitching, it’s simply amazing. And it’s a great size too! You can find it at Oh This Nose
Hello Yellow! I’m loving this pop of color. And those tiny stitches. You can find this lovely double wedding ring quilt at Harriet’s Daughter. But hurry, it’s a steal!
Finally, I’m loving this romantic Castle Wall Quilt. It’s an antique quilt top that has recently been turned into a quilt. Which means you get the look of a vintage piece with the benefit of new batting and backing. Gorgeous, no? At Rosebud Quilters.
And of course, you can find more on Etsy!
Why I Love: A Peace of Cake
Obsession from A Peace of Cake
Need a little inspiration? Need a BIG inspiration? Yeah, I do too! And when I’m in need of something to inspire me, I head over to A Peace of Cake to find a muse. This bright and cheery store is the work of the amazing Kerri Jones (also of Ten Things, another Mireio favorite!). And I find her work the perfect antidote to the perma gray I face out here on the Oregon Coast. I have two of Kerri’s photographs and they always seem to make my world feel more colorful. And that’s why I love A Peace of Cake. (and who doesn’t love a witty store name too!)
You know what else I love? A Sale. Head over to A Peace of Cake and find a little inspiration of your own. And then pick another, because Kerri is holding a BOGO sale! Buy one and get one free!
Shop Local: Astoria!
I thought I’d give the “Shop Local” search on Etsy a try. I’m always on the lookout for more great vintage, and I thought I might find something close to me. Alas, I struck out in my area! But the “Shop Local” feature loaded stores not just from Astoria, Oregon—but also from Astoria, New York. Hello Vintage fabulousness!!
I’ve totally fallen in love with The Hidden Library! It’s a small but very well curated vintage store that has some amazing finds. Take the Atlas Luncheon Set. It’s complete and in pristine condition and check out the handles on those coffee cups.
These nautical pins would look so cute clustered on a belt or hat.
And then I found Farfalla Shop. I’m in heaven. This store is stocked with mid-century amazing! Just look at this Don Kingman poster of San Francisco. This would be so amazing framed and center stage in your living space!
I adore this lucite desk caddy. So clean and modern and utterly chic. I’m sure my desk would still be disasterpiece it usually is, just now with a bit of style.
So, Astoria, Queens is not Astoria, Oregon. But I’m not going to let a few thousand miles stop me!

The color is absolutely divine, don’t you think? (and something of a rare find, this McCoy vase by Star Fault)
I’m completely enchanted with Coralie Beatrix. These dresses are clever and beautiful!
So modern, yet feminine too. I love how light-weight these are. Earrings by Quercus Silver
I love everything about Lee Ohio Designs. This necklace would be a wonderful place to start your collection.
