The Best of Etsy — Happy Earth Day
Happy Earth Day! Here are a few amazing Vintage Coffee Cups to get you started. . . vintage is one of my favorite ways to recycle!
The Best of Etsy: The Happy Earth Day List
You better grab these amazing cups from Wonder Plunder before I do. I don’t know about you, but lately I’ve got a thing for yellow!!
GORGEOUS modern coffee cups by the French designer Daniel Hechter. I love this elegant design. And you can’t beat this price… Go, go go! (found at Place Michel)
I’m feeling groovy just looking at these amazing vintage mugs. (found at Vintage Reinvented)
The Best of Etsy — Midnight
Admit it, you missed me!
After a 5 month break, I’ve decided that I MISS The Best of Etsy. And with all the google/etsy/search problems happening right now, I decided it might help some of my favorite Etsy people to have their stores featured and LINKED! Yay for helping, right?
Anyhow, I’m excited to begin . . . again. But this time, I’m going to keep my lists short and sweet! Think of these posts as “bite sized”. And instead of posting on a specific day, I’m going to post whenever the daffodils (that’s my new favorite faux swear word!) I want to post. Maybe even twice a week! So, what are we waiting for??? It’s THE BEST OF ETSY!
We’ll call this list “Midnight”. That works, right?
These gorgeous earrings by Voleur de Bijoux are utterly midnight. Evocative; can’t you just feel the cool air on your shoulder?
There is something about the texture and straight-forward use of this Topaz that really gets to me. It’s as still as the night air. I’m in love with Artisan Look.
This Chemise by Blonde Peacock takes on Midnight in a completely different way—it’s romantic and sultry and exactly the kind of thing you might want to wear at the dawning of a new day.
Alrighty, see y’all later this week. And as always, leave some love in the comments!
Liberty Bunny
Sweet Liberty Bunny by Rose Lullaby Dolls. You know you want one!
Ok, I think we’ve pretty much established that I’ve got a thing for Liberty of London fabric. So you know I couldn’t resist showing you this adorable papier mache bunny from London. How cute? (and psst… only $6!)
As for Mireio, it’s stocked with lots of lovely Liberty pillows and sachets. But for those of you who aren’t too keen on Pink, no worries! Next week will bring a few more vintage and vintage inspired prints to the store. I’m feeling the urge to see more blues and greens and yellows and maybe even something paisley. So, keep checking back!
A Sweet Surprise!
A sweet surprise! Sunshine in my mail.
I was a bit absent from Mireio last week. It was my 40th birthday and I spent the week hanging out with my little family and soaking in all the love coming my way. But I’m back and I excited to start working and blogging about all the Spring in store for Mireio.
I’ll start by sharing these fabulous earrings that arrived in the mail last week. (And I’ll just add, what a way to celebrate your 40th birthday!) My lovely friend, Kerri, sent me these handcrafted bits of Spring. I so admire Kerri’s work and have been meaning to buy something for ages. But, I’ll confess, I have a hard time buying for myself. Do you have that problem too? I’m happy to indulge friends and family, but splurging on me is much, much harder to do!
So, you can imagine my delight to receive these stunning earrings, so beautifully wrapped, and a birthday note wishing me all the best at I enter this next decade. Such a thoughtful, generous, and lovely gesture—just like Kerri!
Thank you, thank you dear friend!
You can find more of Kerri’s work in her Etsy store Ten Things. Go treat yourself!
The Best of Etsy: Quench Metal Works
If you haven’t discovered Quench Metal Works, you really should go take a peak. She’s taken a decidedly modern approach to vintage materials and I’m swooning. A big thanks to Waterrose –she tweeted this necklace a few days ago and I’m completely hooked!
