Where did the week go? I know I’ve been busy in the studio and my much neglected yard and attempting to slim down for a late summer wedding. And, that sums up my weekend plans as well!
Before I dash off to dig up flower beds, there are a few new items in Mireio. I hope you’ll take a peek. I was recently contacted by Sheila of StylishHome.com for an interview. I had no idea when I responded that such a lovely article would run in my local (albeit the online version) paper. We’re crossing our fingers that it will also run in the hardcopy later, but I have to say, either way I was really pleased with the outcome. I think Sheila did an amazing job translating my answers into an interesting article—and I was personally overjoyed with the title. I am a mom, foremost. And part of what I love about Mireio, is that it allows me to live into my calling as a mom. So, a very big thank you to StylishHome and all of you who have been so supportive of my adventures with Mireio.

I’m smitten with the new cuff bracelets at Anthropologie. Smitten until I consider the price tag, gulp! There is something about the beaten metal, almost abstract beauty that puts an edge to this spring’s fascination with lace. Who doesn’t love lace? But it helps to ground all that froth with something earthy. If the price tag of the real thing puts you off, Etsy is a treasure trove of economical finds. And your local thrift might just surprise you!
